Born in Vietnam, Tu Mai grew up in Tampa. She was a high school standout and achieved a top 10 Florida Junior State ranking. Tu received a full tennis scholarship to the University of Tennessee and graduated in 1997. Tu is a Cheval resident and a teaching staff member since 1999.

Mark Palus

Born in Orlando, Mark is currently ranked #1 for Florida players in his age group. He is a graduate of the University of South Carolina where he is tied for 3rd All-Time career singles wins. Mark has been a Member of the United  States Professional Tennis Association since 1996 and was the three time USPTA Florida Open Player of the Year. Mark joined the Cheval Staff in 2010.

Francis Cooke
Teaching Professional

Francis has been teaching here at Cheval since 1990. Working with Cheval's Junior Program, he has produced many top players that have gone on to play at the professional and collegiate scholarship level. Francis also runs many successful local and national tournaments.
